Ring Factory Attendance Policy

For kindergarten students the school day runs from 9:00am to 11:30am or from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. For other students the school day begins at 9:00am with all students being dismissed at 3:30pm. We expect all students to be ready for the instructional day at 8:45am with pencils sharpened and materials ready. Announcements are made at 8:50am.

Days Present: A student is counted present for a full day if the student is absent no more than 1 hour of the school day.

Days Absent: A student is counted absent for a full day if the student is present for 1 hour or less of the school day.

Half Day: A student is credited for 1/2 day attendance if the student is present for more than 1 hour and and is absent for more than 1 hour of the school day.

Certifications are awarded to students who achieve perfect attendance. Perfect attendance means that students have NO recorded incidence of absences.

Attendance and vacation policies are continued in the Harford County Public Schools Handbook/Calendar.
